The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) field team continues to distribute relief aid in the Al-Mahra Governorate, southeastern Yemen, in the aftermath of recent Cyclone Tej, which caused widespread destruction to infrastructure and crops.

This aid is part of the “Kuwait is by Your Side” campaign and falls under the framework of urgent relief programs for the Yemeni community. It aims to address the essential needs arising from the cyclone’s impact, which has affected thousands of families in the region over the past weeks.

The project extends its support to 500 families in Hasween, Saqar, Habrut Al-Wadi, Haradnot, and Dakbreet, providing a range of supplies and urgent assistance.

Khaled Al-Mutairi, head of the KRCS field team, emphasized the significant need for basic essentials such as food, shelter, water, and environmental sanitation, particularly as displacement continues from Al-Mahra Governorate to neighboring villages.

He commended the cooperation and coordination of Estijabah Foundation for Humanitarian Aid and Relief in delivering support and easing the plight of displaced families.
