The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) on Thursday signed an agreement with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), committing $9 million to support the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF).

The agreement was signed via video conference by KSrelief Assistant Supervisor General of Operations and Programs Eng. Ahmed Al Baiz and UN Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Deputy Emergency Relief Coordinator Joyce Msuya.

The initiative comes in light of the endeavors of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, to provide the needed resources to support humanitarian action in Yemen.

It is also part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to enhancing strategic cooperation with international partners and financing bodies to improve the living conditions of affected individuals in Yemen.
