Sultan Abdullah Mahmoud, Director General of Al-Mokha District, inaugurated on Thursday a project for artesian wells in the villages of Al-Sahira and Azzan in the coastal district’s countryside. The project cost 142,000 Saudi Riyals and was funded by Kuwaiti social contributions.

The project includes drilling a 60-meter-deep artesian well, installing a solar-powered pump, and constructing an elevated tank to distribute water to every house in the targeted areas, which have a population of over 180 families.

Mahmoud expressed his gratitude for the support of the leadership, government, and people of Kuwait and their efforts in standing by the Yemeni people and assisting them with numerous service, development, and humanitarian projects.
