In an effort to bolster one of Yemen’s traditional livelihoods, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), in partnership with the Tehma Development Authority, has initiated a program aimed at enhancing the beekeeping industry in the regions of Bajil, Al-Marawi’ah, and Az-Zuhra. This initiative comes at a critical time as beekeeping, a vital source of income for many Yemeni families, faces significant challenges due to ongoing conflict and the adverse effects of climate change.

The program has provided training and essential tools to 250 beekeepers, aiming to not only preserve but enhance their ability to generate sustainable income.
