  • Food Aid Provided by WFP Distributed in Yafa’a Sarar

Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

CARE International Organization has disbursed food aid provided by the World Food Programme (WFP) for the first round of this year to the most impoverished cases and low-income individuals in Yafa’a Sarar district of Abyan Governorate.

The locals expressed their gratitude to those involved in distributing humanitarian aid and praised the efforts of the WFP and CARE organization, which contributed to alleviating the suffering of impoverished families amidst the challenging living conditions in the country.

It is worth noting that the WFP intervened in providing relief to needy and extremely impoverished families in Yafa’a, Sarar ten years ago, and it continues to implement its food program aimed at enhancing livelihoods for the local population in the district. Additionally, the WFP, in collaboration with its partner CARE International Organization, verified the biometric system, updated beneficiary data, and conducted training sessions for supervisors, staff, and warehouse managers to enhance their efficiency in providing assistance to the targeted groups.
