Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

Funded by King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action (KSrelief) and sponsored by the Ministry of Education, the Benevolence Coalition for Humanitarian Relief (BCHR) launched the project of building and rehabilitating a number of schools in Hajjah Governorate as part of the Education Support Project in Yemen. The project included the rehabilitation of five schools, the construction of three classrooms, and the distribution of school uniforms and bags to 1,770 students in Hayran and Haradh Districts.

The governor of Hajjah praised the role of KSrelief in supporting the education sector in Yemen. He appreciated the efforts made to ensure the continuity of the educational process, the return of students to schools and protecting them from exploitation. The Executive Director of the BCHR, Fahmy Salmeen, confirmed that the project is part of the Coalition’s objectives which provides a better educational environment for students in conflict-affected areas.

The project included the rehabilitation of 22 schools and the distribution of uniforms and school bags to 11,586 students in the governorates of Aden, Hajjah, Hadhramout, and Al-Mahra.
