An important training course on first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) concluded yesterday, Wednesday, targeting kindergarten teachers from the 22 May, Al-Bustan, and Marima kindergartens in the Seiyun district. This valuable course was implemented by Dar Al-Shifa Medical Foundation, in collaboration with the Education Office in the district.
A total of 48 kindergarten teachers participated in the course, receiving intensive training from specialists at Dar Al-Shifa Foundation. The course aimed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to deal with emergencies that children may face in kindergartens and to apply first aid correctly and quickly.
The course covered several key topics, including:
- An introduction to first aid and its importance, and the role of the rescuer in providing it.
- Identifying types of emergency injuries and how to deal with them, such as bleeding, fractures, wounds, and burns.
- Identifying cases of choking, fainting, and convulsions, and how to handle them.
- Introduction to the basics of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and practical training on its application using medical simulation mannequins.
This course comes within the framework of the organizing bodies’ keenness to provide a safe environment for children in kindergartens, enhance the culture of first aid among the educational staff, and improve the response to emergencies, which contributes to the safety of children.
