Lieutenant General Sagheer bin Aziz, Chief of General Staff, Commander of Joint Operations, signed a contract on Thursday in Marib with a delegation from the Saudi Project for Demining in Yemen “MASAM” to renew the project’s work and continue its humanitarian mission.

The Chief of Staff praised the significant role played by the “MASAM” project during the past period in clearing Yemeni lands of mines planted by the Houthi militia, which pose a serious threat to the lives of civilians.

He praised the efforts of the project’s engineering teams in clearing mines and explosive remnants of war, stressing the provision of all aspects of support and cooperation to ensure the success of their work in saving lives.

The Chief of Staff expressed his thanks to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its continuous support to Yemen in various fields, particularly highlighting the humanitarian support provided by the Kingdom through the “MASAM” project and other projects.
