Khabar Khair (Only Good News)
In the context of the RELACC project, which aims to raise the capacity of fishermen’s families to face the humanitarian crisis and the repercussions of COVID-19. After training them in entrepreneurship and providing them with support with an amount of $950, the Young Leaders Development Foundation “YLDF” in Aden organized a bazaar to display products for women of fishermen families with the aim of helping these families and improving their income in light of the current conditions.
This bazaar was attended by Arvind Kumar, Project Manager in the United Nations Program and in partnership with UNDP Yemen and with the support of the Japanese government.
The bazaar was for 69 women who have received training, received grants and already started small businesses. These families displayed their products in it. Among the products of some projects that were present in the bazaar:
Women and household accessories of sea shells and palm fronds – pastries and food – incense and Adeny perfumes – handmade salt – fishing nets and handmade fishing equipment.
