The Strengthening Institutional and Economic Resilience in Yemen (SIERY) project, funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the United Nations Development Program in Yemen (UNDP), organized a training workshop on environmental protection and occupational health and safety requirements for contractors and engineers in sub-projects in Ibb and Taiz governorates.The workshop aimed to enhance the participants’ capabilities in applying environmental protection standards and occupational health and safety in the workplace to ensure worker safety and safe implementation, and to enhance the positive impacts of SIERY projects on the environment.The workshop trainers emphasized enhancing environmental awareness among local communities and motivating them to actively participate in protecting and preserving the environment by organizing regular awareness sessions.
