  • KSrelief Delivers Five Alternative Classes to Lahj Governorate as Part of Second Phase of Back-to-School Project in Yemen

Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) handed over five alternative classrooms to the Yemeni Ministry of Education in Mudaraba and Ras Al-Ara directorates in Lahj Governorate, as part of the second phase of the back-to-school project in Yemen.

The director of KSrelief’s branch in Aden, Saleh Al-Thebiani, disclosed that the KSrelief aims to support the education process in impoverished villages and remote rural regions through contributions to such initiatives.

The director of the Education Department in the Mudaraba and Ras Al-Ara directorates, Khaldoun Zain Mohammed, affirmed that alternative classes, providing a conducive environment for children’s education, will be utilized to expand educational opportunities for children in three areas of the district: Wadi Markha, Al-Sadaf, and Azafa, as well as their neighbouring regions.

The project aims to equip 95 alternative classrooms with their necessities, provide educational supplies such as school bags and uniforms, and create job opportunities for low-income families who benefited from previous training and empowerment projects by producing locally made school bags.

This initiative is part of a series of educational programs funded by the Kingdom via KSrelief, its humanitarian arm, to improve the country’s educational system in Yemen.
