Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

With World Bank MENA funding, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and its local partner, the Small and Micro Enterprise Promotion Service (SMEPS) distributed 140 boat motors in Huswain district, Mahra. The new motors will save fishermen of operating costs, increase their productivity, and contribute to improving their living conditions.

The launch was attended by high representatives including the deputy governor of Mahrah as well as other important representatives.

This is part of the Sustainable Fishery Development in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden (SFISH) project.
