The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has partnered with the International Wars and Disasters Victims Protection Associations (IRVD) to operate the Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center in Taiz, Yemen.

The agreement was signed by Eng. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz, KSrelief’s assistant general supervisor for operations and programs, at the organization’s headquarters in Riyadh.

During a press statement, the director of the KSrelief Health and Environmental Assistance Department, Dr. Abdullah Al-Muallem, outlined the project’s objectives. He emphasized that KSrelief would focus on diagnosing conditions, crafting individual treatment plans, and installing various types of prosthetic limbs for beneficiaries. Along with working to prevent the migration of medical and technical staff by offering better opportunities locally, this initiative also aims to improve their professional and scientific capabilities.

This project is expected to benefit approximately 3,360 individuals.

This collaboration between KSrelief and IRVD is part of a broader series of humanitarian and relief projects spearheaded by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people amidst an ongoing humanitarian crisis.
