  • A Voluntary Medical Program to Combat Blindness Launched in Mukalla.

Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

In Mukalla city, Hadhramout Governorate, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) launched the Noor Saudi Arabia Volunteer Program to combat blindness and its causes.

The voluntary program will take place during the period from May 4–30, 2024, with the participation of eight volunteers from various medical specialties.

Since the start of the campaign, the KSrelief team has successfully performed 12 glaucoma removal surgeries, 97 cataract removal surgeries, three eye-socket surgeries, and 17 other minor surgeries.

KSrelief’s Saudi Noor Volunteer Program is part of Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian support to bolster the medical sector and aid individuals affected by eye diseases in low-income countries.
