The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has launched the “Al-Meer Ramadan” project, which involves providing food aid to patients at the Cancer and Kidney Dialysis Centers in the city of Ataq, the capital of Shabwa Governorate.
This initiative is part of the package of humanitarian and charitable projects offered by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to its brethren in Yemen. The project is under the patronage of Awadh Mohammed bin Alwazir, the Governor of Shabwa Governorate and Head of the Local Council.
During the inauguration, Dr. Ali Nasser Al-Dhaib, the Director-General of the Health and Population Office in Shabwa Governorate, commended the humanitarian and charitable efforts of the UAE, which are provided through its humanitarian and charitable arm in Yemen, the ERC.
In addition, Majid bin Sari’a, the Director of the ERC team in Shabwa Governorate, stated that the project will contribute to alleviating the humanitarian suffering of cancer and kidney dialysis patients, as well as the families of martyrs, the poorest families, and the displaced people in Shabwa Governorate. It aims to meet their needs, especially in these challenging living conditions experienced by the country.
