The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) conducted its third session of the analytical workshop on the Integrated Phase Classification of Acute Food Insecurity in the city of Aden.

Spanning eleven days, the workshop aims to enhance and refine participants’ skills in accurately collecting and analyzing data to identify key challenges that hinder the acquisition of necessary information.

The workshop is expected to host one hundred specialists, including representatives from the Ministries of Agriculture, Industry and Trade, the Statistics Authority, directors of planning offices, and representatives from international organizations focused on food security. Notably, the FAO is a pivotal international organization that implements humanitarian activities and interventions to address food insecurity in Yemen. It emphasizes the need to increase funding to empower farmers, particularly small-scale ones, while exploring novel approaches to provide affordable technologies and innovations accessible to all.
