The second phase of ‘Provision of Transitional Shelter for Displaced Persons’ Project in Ma’rib Governorate, funded by ShelterBox, was launched by the Benevolence Coalition for Humanitarian Relief (BCHR).

During the inauguration ceremony, Engineer Amin Al-Maqbool, the Shelter Group Coordinator in Ma’rib Governorate, commended the humanitarian efforts made by BCHR and ShelterBox in alleviating the suffering of the displaced people in Ma’rib Governorate.

Expressing his gratitude, Mr. Omar Makarem, the financing officer in BCHR, thanked the shelter group and the executive unit for their management of the displaced camps in Ma’rib. He emphasized that BCHR is dedicated to using all its capabilities to assist the displaced individuals in Ma’rib Governorate, as well as in all other governorates of the Republic, in order to alleviate their suffering.

Mr. Naji Shabana, the project manager, provided details on the project’s objectives, stating that it aims to provide transitional shelter, non-food items, and fire extinguishers to 915 displaced families. Additionally, it will target 500 families from emergency stocks in the event of any disasters. He mentioned that the first phase of the project had already targeted 150 displaced families, and in the second phase, the goal is to reach 756 families.
