In Al-Dhalea Governorate, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) has made significant progress in advancing education by successfully completing the construction and rehabilitation of two schools. As part of the “Emergency Response to Ensure Access to a Safe and Comprehensive Learning Environment” project, these schools were handed over to the local authority leadership.
The project, which falls under the Kingdom’s grant to support the humanitarian response plan in Yemen, will benefit over 16,000 male and female students in Lahj, Abyan, Al-Dhalea, and Taiz governorates. The scope of this initiative comprises expanding 28 classrooms, rehabilitating 10 schools along with their wastewater facilities, providing auxiliary teaching aids to staff in 20 schools, and delivering psychological and educational support activities to 40 trainees.
Among the schools that underwent rehabilitation, “Martyr Ali Qayed Al-Qubba” school in the Qa’tabah district and “Abdullah bin Masoud” school in Jahaf district now boast three fully refurbished classrooms in each respective facility.
