Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

CARE International has successfully completed seven agricultural projects in the villages of Tuban District, Lahj Governorate, as part of its Cash for Work Program (3FFA) in partnership with the World Food Program (WFP).
The projects targeted 655 beneficiaries in Tuban District, Lahj Governorate, with a work period spanning six months from January to May 2023. During the handover ceremony, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Eng. Abdulmalik, highlighted the significance of such projects in safeguarding and developing agricultural lands. He commended CARE International for its positive interventions and vital role in the implementation of these important projects in the governorate of Lahj, particularly in Tuban District.
Mr. Mohsen Ja’afar Al-Saqqaf, the Director General of Tuban District, expressed his appreciation for the projects implemented by CARE International, which have helped to revive agricultural activities in the villages of Tuban and protect the Gabonia defenses of the village of Al-Wadi from the threat of being washed away by torrential rain. The projects were designed to target a large segment of young people and heads of families, providing them with temporary job opportunities and monthly financial support to improve their standard of living, meet their basic needs, and serve their community.
