  • UNICEF Conducts Training Course on the Importance of Vaccinations & Risk Communication in Abyan Governorate

Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

A three-day training course on the importance of vaccinations and risk communication was conducted for 24 health workers in 12 health facilities from Abyan districts. The training program, held under the auspices of the Minister of Health, Prof. Dr. Qassem Mohammed Buhaibeh, the Governor of Abyan Governorate, Major General Abi Bakr Hussein, and supervised by the National Center for Health and Population Education and Information, was implemented by UNICEF in Abyan.
 Dr. Saleh Qassem Al-Tharm, Director General of the Office of the Ministry of Public Health and Population in Abyan Governorate, highlighted the significance of health education in changing behaviors and enhancing health service quality.  He praised the role of the training staff responsible for organizing the course.
The Director of Health Education, Nasser Sheikh, underscored the importance of community involvement in developing the goals and priorities of health education, determining the appropriate areas for health education programs, and devising the best strategies for program success. He explained that the training would equip the participants with theoretical and practical knowledge and skills related to healthy behavior and the field of health education.
