In Yemen, where the conflict has led to widespread displacement and economic distress, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), in collaboration with funding from the World Bank, has initiated an Unconditional Cash Transfer Project. This initiative aims to provide crucial support to those most affected by the ongoing crisis.

Fatima, a beneficiary of the program, shared her experience, highlighting the severe impact of displacement: “The displacement exhausted & humiliated us. We have no (reliable) source of income.” Her story underscores the dire need for such assistance in the region, where over 1.43 million households are now receiving unconditional cash support to help them meet their basic needs amidst the turmoil.
