  • Lifesaving Kits for Mothers: Distribution of Maternal Health Kits in Sa’ada with UNFPA Support

Source: YFCA

In a significant boost to maternal health in Yemen, the Yemen Family Care Association (YFCA), with support from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), has successfully distributed 434 “Mama Kits” to hospitals in Sa’ada from April to October 2024. This initiative, part of the Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care (EmONC) project, has provided essential support to facilities in Razeh, Damaj, and Ketaf, with the aim of enhancing health outcomes for mothers in these regions.

These kits are crucial for ensuring safe deliveries and providing immediate postnatal care items, addressing some of the acute challenges faced by healthcare facilities in the region.
