The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre executed multiple distribution campaigns for food aid in Yemen, providing 1,855 food baskets to the most needy families and those affected by floods and rains, as well as areas suffering from food supply shortages in the governorates of Marib, Abyan, Taiz, and Aden.

In Marib Governorate, 320 food baskets were distributed, benefiting 2,240 individuals in Marib District. Meanwhile, in Abyan Governorate, 735 baskets were distributed in Al-Wadhea District, helping 5,145 individuals. In Taiz, specifically in Ash-Shamayatayn District, 3,150 individuals benefited from the distribution of 450 baskets. In Aden, 400 baskets were provided in Sheikh Othman District, aiding 2,800 individuals.

These efforts are part of the ongoing support from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, aimed at enhancing food security and alleviating suffering in Yemen, as part of the food aid distribution project for the year 2024, to assist the Yemeni people amidst the current humanitarian crisis.
