The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre signed a joint cooperation agreement with the International Organization for Migration to improve sanitation services for the displaced and the host community in Marib Governorate, at a total cost of $2,250,000.

The agreement was signed by His Excellency the Royal Court Advisor and General Supervisor of the Centre, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, and the Director General of the International Organization for Migration, Amy Pope, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The agreement aims to improve access to safe sanitation facilities and waste management services for the displaced population and host community in Marib Governorate. It includes the construction of 200 household latrines, the reconstruction of 600 cesspits, and the provision of waste management equipment. These efforts will result in safer and healthier living conditions for 47,598 people directly and 137,580 people indirectly.

This agreement is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts, through KSrelief, to support the Yemeni people, provide them with a decent living, and advance the water and environmental sanitation sector.
