HUMAN ACCESS in Mukalla city on the Hadhramaut coast awarded economic empowerment grants to 36 women who benefited from vocational training in the fields of sewing and hairdressing during the first half of this year, where they were given the supplies necessary to practice these income-generating craft professions.

Under the protection and livelihood support project “Safe Space for Women and Girls”, which is funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSreilef), this initiative aims to enable families of the most vulnerable to become self-sufficient and productive by securing a steady source of income.

At the handover ceremony, Abdulaziz Bawazir, Director of KSrelief office in Hadhramaut, praised HUMAN ACCESS’ efforts to enhance the livelihoods of vulnerable families.

In his remarks, Khaled Balfas, Deputy Director General of the Technical Education and Vocational Training office in the Hadhramaut Coast, also emphasized the importance of these humanitarian interventions that help increase employment and alleviate poverty.
