  • Shabwa General Hospital Signs Contract for Medical Equipment Supply and Installation Funded by Khalifa Humanitarian Foundation

Shabwa, Yemen – In a significant step towards enhancing medical services, Shabwa General Hospital has signed a contract for the supply and installation of two advanced imaging devices: a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine and a Computed Tomography (CT) scanner. The Khalifa Humanitarian Foundation, through a specialized Indian company, is funding these devices, which cost over $1.4 million.

The contract, signed in the presence of representatives from the hospital and the supplying company, outlines the technical and engineering specifications of the devices. It also includes legal clauses obligating the supplying company to install the equipment within three months.

Hospital officials emphasized the importance of these devices in improving medical services and enhancing medical activity. They expressed gratitude for the UAE’s support and the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation’s interventions, which have contributed to a qualitative leap in the hospital’s medical services and diagnostic capabilities.
