  • Governor of Socotra Launches Eid al-Adha Sacrificial Meat Distribution Project with Support from the Emirates Red Crescent, and visits patients

On Sunday, Engineer Ra’afat Ali al-Thiqali, Governor of Socotra, inaugurated the distribution of Eid al-Adha sacrificial meat project for the year 1445 AH, with the support of the Emirates Red Crescent.

During the inauguration, Governor al-Thiqali stressed the importance of this project in alleviating the burdens on needy families during the Eid days, praising the role played by the Emirates Red Crescent towards the people of Socotra, which comes within the framework of continuous efforts to support the people of the governorate in all fields.

The project aims to provide 550 sacrifices to poor and needy families to alleviate the hardships of their living conditions.

In the same context, the Governor of Socotra Archipelago paid a visit to the patients at Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Hospital in Hadibu City to check on their health. During the visit, Governor al-Thiqali congratulated the patients on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha and presented them with Eid gifts, wishing them a speedy recovery.
