  • Yemen’s Ministry of Health Receives Medical Supplies from China

Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

Yesterday, in the city of Mukalla in Hadhramout Governorate and in the presence of Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to Yemen, Shao Zheng, the Ministry of Health and Population, received medical support from the People’s Republic of China.

The supplies handed over to the Ministry include about 1,47 medical devices and equipment, including 10 ambulances, 200 medical beds, respirators, and x-ray devices.

The handover event was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Health and Population, Dr. Abdullah Dahhan, the Secretary-General of the Local Council in Hadhramout Governorate, Saleh Al-Omqi, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs in Yemen, Mansour Bagash. Dr. Dahhan emphasized that Chinese medical support comes within the close bilateral cooperation between the two countries and aims to improve the deteriorating health sector in the country.

Dr. Dahhan further added that these equipment and devices will be distributed to the governorates according to priority and need to improve health services.

The Chargé d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy reviewed the Chinese support for Yemen during the past and current stages and affirmed his country’s continuous support for the Yemeni government in various development sectors, especially the health sector.
