Yemen has won the first prize for its artistic evening “Yemeni Melody in Paris” in the Variety and Artistic Evenings category at the 24th Arab Radio and Television Festival held in Tunisia under the slogan “In Support of Palestine”.
The festival, which took place from June 26 to 29, 2024, was organized in partnership with the Tunisian Ministry of Cultural Affairs and Television, Tunisian Radio, and Arabsat.
At the closing ceremony, the winners of the radio and television competitions were announced. The competitions saw participation from member institutions of the Union, as well as private Arab television networks, production companies, Arab news agencies, and international Arabic-speaking satellite channels.
Yemen won the first prize for its artistic, heritage, and cultural work “Yemeni Melody in Paris”. The event took place at the Mogador Theatre in Paris on October 2nd, 2023, under the leadership of Maestro Mohammed Al-Qahoum. It featured a group of Yemeni artists from different governorates of the Republic and was sponsored by the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, the Hadramout Foundation for Culture, and the Yemeni Embassy in Paris.
The artistic work is considered a major cultural and heritage epic that has contributed to introducing Yemen and highlighting the richness and diversity of Yemeni heritage.
