  • Yemeni Honey Wins Platinum and Two Gold Awards at the London International Honey Quality Competition 2024

Yemeni honey continues to shine globally, garnering top international awards. This time, it has won a Platinum and two gold awards at the London International Honey Quality Competition 2024. This prestigious annual event is renowned for evaluating honey quality and identifying the world’s best varieties.

At the awards ceremony, held in London, UK, “Hadrami Sidr Honey” was crowned with the Platinum award, the highest honor bestowed by the competition. It achieved an exceptional score between 95.5 and 100 points. Furthermore, “Osaimi Sidr Honey” and “Jardani Sidr Honey” secured two gold awards, solidifying Yemeni honey’s dominance in the top ranks of this esteemed competition.

Beekeepers and representatives of honey production companies from around 36 countries participated in the competition, showcasing over 295 samples of honey varieties from across the globe. Representing Yemen was “Sheba Bees”, a company specializing in marketing Yemeni honey according to professional international standards and trade regulations.

This victory marks a significant achievement, further solidifying Yemeni honey’s prominent position in the international market. It provides a strong impetus for the development of this vital sector and supports Yemeni producers, especially amidst the challenging circumstances facing the country.
