  • The Nutrition Support Project For Children And Mothers Continues To Provide Its Services To Forty Thousand Beneficiaries

The Nutrition Support Project for children under the age of five and pregnant and lactating mothers, in the governorates of Aden, Lahj, Taiz, Al Hudaydah, Hadramout, Hajjah, Marib, provided medical and nutritional services to 40,060 beneficiaries during the month of June 2021 AD, with the support of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action.

In June 2021, 9,136 children’s cases were reviewed. Treatment was provided for 2,537 children with severe acute malnutrition and for 3,017 children with moderate malnutrition. In addition, medical services were provided to prevent another 1,671 children from becoming malnourished. 

In addition, the cases of 3,797 pregnant and lactating mothers were reviewed, and treatment was provided for 1,778 women. Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI) services were provided for 6,303 patients. Health awareness activities were provided to 8,799 beneficiaries, and 3,022 women received consultation services.
