Tamdeen Youth Foundation (TYF), with the support of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), organizes an induction workshop for Women’s Economic Empowerment Project in Aden (first phase). The project aims to develop women’s skills and empower them economically.
In the workshop, in which 20 representatives of the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training and the Social Welfare Fund participated, the aims of the project were reviewed. In its first phase, the project targets the districts of Mansoura, Sheikh Othman, and Dar Saad to enhance job opportunities for poor and marginalized women by providing them with vocational training and basic business skills, especially in the field of small and micro businesses, and enhance their participation in economic processes.
Interestingly, many opening remarks were delivered expressing the importance of this project, which contributes to developing women’s skills and empowering them economically, helps them enter the labor market in various disciplines and fields that serve the community, provides them with professional and technical skills and expertise, and enhancs their financial knowledge in various sectors that meet the needs and requirements of the labor market.
They stressed the need for joint cooperation with all concerned parties and local and international organizations, which will help in developing the process of building and development, and contribute to reducing unemployment and poverty and facilitating growth and economic and social development of society.
