In a move to prevent a healthcare disaster, the World Health Organization (WHO) has delivered 10,000 liters of emergency fuel to Al-Thawra Hospital in Hodeida, Yemen. This intervention comes in response to an urgent power outage that threatened to disrupt essential health services at one of the city’s major medical facilities.
The delivery is part of WHO’s ongoing commitment to support the hospital, which includes a monthly supply of 40,000 liters of fuel. This support is vital for maintaining continuous power supply, crucial for life-saving operations, and ensuring that medical services remain uninterrupted amidst the ongoing conflicts and challenges in the region.
