Hodeidah, Yemen – As part of ongoing efforts to empower Yemeni women and enhance their capabilities in the labor market, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has rehabilitated the Women’s Vocational Institute in the Al-Munirah District of Hodeidah Governorate. With financial support from the European Union, the institute has been equipped with new computers, sewing machines, and a solar energy system.

This initiative falls under the Strengthening Institutional and Economic Resilience in Yemen (SIERY) project, which focuses on skill enhancement, creating income sources, and promoting sustainable development.
