The United Nations announced that it has provided assistance to over 65,000 people affected by floods in Yemen since the beginning of August.

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) office in Yemen stated, “The UN Rapid Response Mechanism, led by UNFPA, has managed to reach over 65,380 individuals affected by floods across Yemen since the start of the rainy season last August.”

The UN office added that the provision of this assistance was made possible “thanks to the support of our partners in the United States, the European Union, and the UN Central Emergency Response Fund.”
