The Yemeni Red Crescent Society in Marib Governorate launched, on Thursday, the distribution of one thousand shelter kits to displaced families affected by the floods and rains that the governorate witnessed during the past months, funded by the Danish Red Cross.

Local officials praised the role of the Yemeni Red Crescent in mitigating the suffering of the displaced, confirming that this aid, which targeted one thousand families affected by the rains and floods in the IDP camps, comes at a critical time with the beginning of winter, which alleviates the suffering of the beneficiary families.

On the other hand, officials in the Red Crescent explained that this process is the second phase of aid aimed at supporting those affected by the rains, and it came in response to a humanitarian appeal launched by the local authority.
