The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen signed, at its headquarters in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, a contract for the operation and management of Aden General Hospital, at a cost of 330,537.081 Saudi riyals, to benefit more than 438,000 beneficiaries annually, which will start operating within a period of 90 days after the completion of preparations medical staff, hospital equipment tests, and arrival of medicines and medical supplies.


The hospital will operate at a capacity of 50 percent for the first year in response to the urgent need for the governorate of Aden and its environs, provided that it operates with a full capacity during the second year, and aims to improve the performance of the health sector and raise the quality of services provided in the governorate of Aden and its environs, and the project also contributes to promoting good health and well-being and improving services.
