The Kuwait Relief Association inaugurated the rehabilitation of the Aden School Book printing presses by providing the institution with modern equipment and CTPs that would increase the capacity of textbook production.
The support provided is represented in the supply of printing presses and Computer-To-Plate tools (CTP), which operate with a modern system that will improve the efficiency of the printing presses in the districts of Mansoura and Al-Ma’ala in Aden, in addition to Hadhramaut, as well as the provision of a full-year operating budget and the qualification of the cadre that will operate on the equipment provided.
The Executive Director of the Corporation for School Book Printing Press in Aden, Dr. Mohamed Omar Basilim, and the Vice President of the Kuwaiti Relief Association in the Yemen office, Dr. Adel Baashin, inaugurated the Book Printing Press Project in Mansoura, which is about working with printing tools, and identified the possibilities that the project would add to cover the students’ need for school books at a total cost of one million dollars.
The Deputy Director of the Kuwaiti Relief Association stated “this support is part of the project of supplying three CTP units for School Book Printing Presses in Mansoura, Ma’ala, Aden, and Mukalla in Hadhramaut, which contributes to the provision of the book to students in basic and secondary education.”
He added, “This project is one of the projects funded by the Kuwaiti Relief Association for the education sector, and the Association has worked in the past few years in the education sectors and many fields, and we are currently working in the restoration, rehabilitation and furnishing of schools nationwide. This project and other ones come with the honor from the Emir of Kuwait”.
This Kuwaiti support is an extension of a previous support, while the Kuwait Relief Association in Yemen works alongside the education sector in health, shelter, food, water and livelihoods in all Yemeni governorates.
