Hadramout Governorate inaugurated a project to restore and rehabilitate the Industrial Institute as well as the Commercial Institute in Khalaf and Fawa areas in Al-Mukalla city, that is funded by Kuwait Society for Relief and implemented by Estijabah Foundation for Humanitarian Aid and Relief. The rehabilitation included workshops, classrooms, corridors, repairing the dilapidated ceilings and painting walls, in addition to lighting and electrical works.
During the inauguration ceremony, the engineer Amin Barzeq, the Governorate’s Undersecretary for Technical Affairs, valued the generous support of the brothers in the sisterly State of Kuwait for this vital project in rehabilitating the scientific edifices in the governorate. This project, according to Barzeq, is a good intervention that will help to improve the governorate’s educational system. He stressed that the governorate’s local authorities will try to supply the institute with a variety of equipment and machines that it requires to carry out its task. These two projects come within the interest in technical education and vocational training because of its great importance in the development of society and the needs of the labor market.
