Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

The Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Fisheries, Major General Salem Al-Socotri, and the French Ambassador to Yemen, Catherine Corm-Kammoun, met on Friday in the interim capital, Aden.

During the meeting, ways to support and enhance the agricultural and fishery sectors in Yemen and French interventions in these two fields, including the rehabilitation of fish landing centers in Mukalla, Hadhramaut Governorate, “the fourth project,” were discussed.

The Minister, Al-Socotri, indicated that continuing to provide support to rehabilitate and develop the Ministry and its affiliated bodies, institutions, and centers contributes to the advancement of the agricultural and fisheries sectors. He also praised French support, which included the agricultural and fishery sectors and the empowerment of rural and coastal women.

The French Ambassador confirmed that the French government continues to provide support for agricultural-fishery projects and programs in Yemen. She also expressed the French government’s desire to host Yemeni experts to benefit from French experiences in the agricultural and fishery sectors.
