  • The Charitable Organization inaugurates a residential village for the displaced in western Yemen

Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

The International Islamic Charitable Organization inaugurated a model residential village consisting of 50 houses with its facilities to house the displaced in the Al-Khokha district of the coastal governorate of Al-Hodeidah, western Yemen, as part of the “Kuwait by your side” campaign that has been going on for seven years.

The head of the Communication Foundation for Development, which implemented the project, Raed Ibrahim, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the typical residential village of “fraternity 5” includes 50 dwellings, each consisting of two rooms, a bathroom and a courtyard, in addition to a school consisting of 4 classrooms and two administration rooms, with all the equipment of tables. Blackboards and educational supplies.

He added that the village also includes a health center with its medical equipment, in addition to a mosque, an artesian well powered by solar energy, and shelter supplies such as mattresses, blankets and cooking tools for all the static families.

He pointed out that the village project aims to accommodate the displaced in appropriate housing that protects them from the vagaries of weather and harsh conditions, especially with the advent of the extremely hot and humid summer in coastal areas.

For his part, Director of Al-Khoukha Directorate Salem Alyan praised in a press statement the great efforts made by the State of Kuwait in supporting and housing the displaced in the West Coast, providing them with health care, supporting their education, and supporting the water sector in the governorate in general.

Alyan said that the efforts of the State of Kuwait in supporting the Yemeni people extend for decades and have increased in recent years through the effective humanitarian aid it provides to alleviate the suffering of Yemenis in the current circumstances they are going through.

He expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the State of Kuwait, the International Islamic Charitable Organization and the “Voluntary Fraternity Team” for their constant giving and continuous assistance to the Yemeni people.
