A water project equipped with an integrated solar power system was inaugurated in the Al-Maftulaqa area of Wadi Uddam, in the Sah district of Hadramout, on Monday.

The project was inaugurated by Eng. Hesham Al-Saeedi, Assistant Undersecretary of Hadramout Governorate for the Affairs of Wadi and Desert Directorates. The project was funded and implemented by the Selah Foundation for Development.

The Assistant Undersecretary, accompanied by the Secretary-General of the Local Council in Sah District, Ahmed Bafdhal, listened to a detailed explanation from the Executive Director of the Selah Development Foundation, Ali Bashmakh, about the project. The project has a production capacity of 37 kilowatts and a depth of 260 meters. It aims to solve the problem of water pollution suffered by three thousand people in the region.

Al-Saeedi praised the role of the Selah Development Foundation in supporting local authorities and its interventions in many health, service, and development fields.
