The Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has recently launched a healthcare project in Sana’a Governorate, aimed at providing support to patients suffering from kidney failure and cancer.
The project is part of QRCS’s commitment to assisting “Alshafaqa Institution” in its mission to care for patients with renal failure and cancer in the governorate. With an allocated budget of $145,022, the project aims to enhance general and nutritional services for approximately 3,000 patients.
According to the United Nations “ReliefWeb,” Watheq Sultan Al-Qurashi, Chairman of the Board of Directors at “Alshafaqa Institution,” commended the QRCS for their dedicated efforts and interventions, which have been pivotal in sustaining operations while meeting 70% of the population’s essential needs like food, water, electricity, and fuel. Al-Qurashi underscored the distinctive nutritional, medical, and psychological requirements of patients battling cancer and kidney failure.”
