The Ministry of Public Health and Population in the Governorate of Aden received, on Monday, two mobile clinics equipped with radiology, laboratory facilities, and modern technologies, aimed at supporting tuberculosis patients. These clinics were provided by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria through the International Organization for Migration.
In addition, the ministry received other medical equipment and supplies, which will be distributed to targeted hospitals across all governorates.
The Ministry of Health expressed its appreciation for the support provided by the Global Fund, noting that this assistance is part of an emergency response project aimed at strengthening primary healthcare programs. It is expected that this support will provide significant services in the screening and treatment of tuberculosis cases, especially in remote areas and displaced persons’ gatherings. Other devices and equipment will also be distributed to targeted hospitals based on their needs.
For his part, the Director of the International Organization for Migration in Yemen, Matt Huber, expressed the depth of partnership and coordination between the Ministry of Health and the organization.
