Local authorities in Lahij Governorate inaugurated a project to rehabilitate the asphalt road and repair the Khor Omairah Bridge in the Al-Mudharabah and Ras Al-Arah districts. This initiative is supported by the Institutional and Economic Resilience Enhancement Project in Yemen (SIERY), funded by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) through the Yemen Aid organization.

The rehabilitated infrastructure is considered a lifeline for the district, connecting Khor Omairah to other areas. Previous flooding had severely damaged the road and bridge, causing significant hardship for residents. The project reflects the local authorities’ commitment to prioritizing development plans that directly address the needs of the people.
