The Kuwaiti Direct Aid Society, Yemen office, concluded on Sunday a free medical eye camp in which 400 surgical procedures were performed in the city of Mocha, Taiz Governorate, as part of the “Kuwait by Your Side” campaign, which is ongoing for the ninth consecutive year.

The Regional Director of the Direct Aid office in Yemen, Ali Battit, stated to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the camp included performing 400 cataract surgeries and lens implantations, examining approximately 3,078 beneficiaries, conducting laboratory and internal examinations, and distributing 1,011 awareness brochures about eye diseases and prevention.

He added that the camp also included providing medications to 1,200 beneficiaries and distributing free sunglasses to 1,210 beneficiaries.
