The Kuwaiti Al-Najat Charity announced the allocation of urgent food and shelter materials and aid to assist one thousand Yemeni families affected by the recent floods that hit several governorates.
The Head of Resources, Public Relations, and Media Sector at the charity, Abdullah Al-Shahab, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Thursday that “the urgent aid, amounting to about 50,000 Kuwaiti Dinars (about 165,000 US dollars) as a first stage, is a continuation of the humanitarian and relief efforts carried out by the association in various countries, especially brotherly countries, in light of crises and disasters.”
Al-Shahab added that “the relief aid consists of 1,000 food baskets and a set of shelter supplies including 250 tents, blankets, mattresses, and 250 potable water tanks.”
