In Taiz Governorate, HUMAN ACCESS handed over a project to extend a sewage line in Shi’b Al-Haddadin area of Al-Muzaffar district to the local water and sanitation corporation. The handover was attended by the General Director of Projects in the corporation, and the General Director of the District, following the completion of this project aimed at removing the environmental and health risks caused by open latrines and the lack of sanitation services.
The project, funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF), included connecting the Shi’b Al-Haddadin area to the main sewage network to serve 5,405 people as part of the integrated response support to improve basic services for the most vulnerable communities.
During the project delivery, the director general of Al-Muzhaffar district stated that this project was one of the best projects implemented in this region, which suffers from diseases spread by a lack of sanitation services, expressing gratitude to HUMAN ACCESS and YHF for this vital support that meets the needs of the local population.
