  • Funded by ERC, “Mobile Clinics” Project Launched in Yemen’s Remote Areas

“Mobile Clinics” project was launched in Brom Miafa’a District by the Red Crescent Society, in coordination with the Office of the Ministry of Public Health. The authority operated a mobile clinic to Radfan Miafa’a area, and its services were provided for about 200 patients, including 100 cases in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 20 cases in the pediatric department, and 20 cases in the General Department.

The project was part of the humanitarian and relief efforts that is provided to Yemenis in order to alleviate their suffering and provide healthcare to patients in remote areas who find it difficult to receive medical services due to the lack of hospitals and medical centers.

Salem Ahmed Barmel, the Director of the Public Health and Population Office at Brom district, commended the UAE’s humanitarian efforts represented by the Emirates Red Crescent Society. He stressed that the “mobile clinics” project contributed to alleviate the suffering of many patients in the rural and remote areas of Hadhramout Governorate.
