Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

The Emirates Red Crescent Authority has completed the construction and equipment of 17 housing units in Nawjad Area of Socotra Governorate. These units, delivered in the first phase, aim to provide support to poor and needy families affected by natural disasters in previous years on the Socotra Archipelago.
Continuing its efforts, the Emirates Authority is now focused on the second phase of the project, with plans to prepare an additional 35 housing units. The ultimate goal is to provide safe accommodation to a total of 52 families in Socotra.
Moreover, the UAE has undertaken additional initiatives to improve the living conditions in the region. These include establishing a primary school, a health unit, a sewage network, as well as ensuring access to electricity and water services. Furthermore, a notable project underway involves the construction of a large mosque for the benefit of the local community.
